What you've been asking

Q: When is the best time to start using the Baby Tracker?

Many moms start using the Baby Tracker system right after birth as it is difficult to capture need-to-know information in sleep-deprived moments. And even simple hand-offs to dad or preparing for doctor visits are assisted by having the baby's daily routine at one's fingertips. The Round the Clock—Baby Tracker which accommodates 24-hour tracking is the best for this period when parents and babies find themselves living life around the clock.

Most of our customers have told us that the best time to begin using the Baby Tracker organizers and journals is around the 3 month mark when some women/parents are beginning to use non-parental childcare arrangements, either for work or to run errands for a few hours.

The original Baby Tracker products are optimized for the working parent looking for an easier, less stress-filled way to exchange information about their babies with their daily caregivers. Be they grandma, neighbor, other parent, or licensed child care provider. Shop now.

Q: What type of child care situation is most suitable for Baby Tracker use?

The Baby Tracker has been used in a wide variety of childcare situations—at-home care, family daycare, and small licensed childcare centers. Each of these childcare providers has responded well to Baby Tracker's simplified charting system and the ability to easily create a visual picture of the baby's day. Previously many childcare providers were asked to chronicle in writing all of the activities during the day. This took time away from the care of the child and put added stress on the information exchange during drop off and pick up.

Q: How large is the Baby Tracker?

The Baby Tracker binder organizer consists of a 7" x 9" spill-proof soft vinyl binder. Internal pages and parent resource pages are 6 hole punched and are approximately 6" x 8 1/4". There are also six double-sided pockets to hold notes, receipts or mementos.

The spiral bound original Baby Tracker journal, with enough pages to record 6 months of activity, measures 5 3/4" x 9" (including the wire spiral).

The spiral bound Round the Clock—Baby Tracker journal, with enough pages to record 90 days and nights, measures 6" x 8 1/2" (including the wire spiral).

Q: Is the Baby Tracker pre-printed with dates or can I start using it at any time?

The Baby Tracker does not come with preprinted dates, but provides you with an area to fill in the date. This gives you the maximum amount of flexibility in using each "tracker" page, and allows you to start using the system at any time.

Q: Is it important to have the child's name and birthdate when ordering? Do you write the babies name on the planner?

You do not need to provide your child's name and birthdate when ordering. We do not write the baby's name on the planner. (We have been known to keep in touch with our customers with customized premiums, however.) We are collecting names because we hope to provide personalized information for these customer appreciation novelties and future products.

Q: I have twins! Do you have a Baby Tracker designed for me?

Even though the Baby Tracker was not developed specifically for twins, there's an easy way to make it work. When the Baby Tracker is open, 2 "tracking" pages lay side by side. Record the activities of Cutie #1 on the left page, and Cutie #2 on the right. Because dates are not pre-printed, Baby Tracker gives you the flexibility to do this.

Q: I work at home. How would Baby Tracker help my child?

While Baby Tracker was designed to assist those mothers using childcare on a regular basis, we've found a number of work-at-home moms using the product as well. Work-at-home moms use the Baby Tracker for:
  • setting up and monitoring a schedule
  • watching sleeping and eating patterns
  • organizing child activities and to-do lists
  • organizing info for doctor and health visits
When it's time for Mom to pass childcare to the other parent (or grandparents), the Baby Tracker provides a guide to the baby's schedule and routine.

Q: I've got a new baby and really need a 24-hour tracker. Can Baby Tracker help?

While the standard versions of Baby Tracker are set up for daily tracking, we have listened to those Moms with newborns. We are pleased to make available Round the Clock—Baby Tracker, specifically designed to meet the needs of parents and children during their first 3 months, featuring a 24 hour version of our tracker page.
